I paid but did not receive my Pro Code. Where is it?

The code is shown on the page you land on after payment. With PayPal, do not close the PayPal window: click “Return to Merchant” (“Zurück zum Händler”) and you will be taken to the page with your Pro Code. My Pro Code is not accepted. What can I do?

Work through this list, most problems are solved by one of these steps: Enter only the code, without spaces before or after it, and delete the old text in the Pro Code field first. Each watch face has its own code. If you bought several faces, check that the code belongs to the face you are editing. Close the settings and open them again. If the code is gone, it was not saved. Try the other app: Garmin Connect instead of Connect IQ, or the other way round. Test whether any other setting, for example a color, reaches the watch. If not, the watch is not syncing: switch airplane mode on and off on your phone, or restart phone and watch. Still locked? I got a new watch. Do I have to buy the face again?

No. Install the same face on the new watch and enter the Pro Code you already have. The code belongs to the watch face, not to a specific device.

Do I need a PayPal account?

Accepted Answer

No. PayPal is also offered in the Stripe checkout, and there your Pro Code appears right away and comes by email. The Stripe checkout also takes card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, WeChat Pay and Alipay; direct PayPal accepts cards too.

Are the watch faces free?

Accepted Answer

Gen 2 and Gen 3: free to install. The extended Pro features are unlocked once with a Pro Code. Gen 1: a 48-hour trial with all features. After that, the Pro Code unlocks the face for good. Either way it is a one-time payment, no subscription. The generation is shown on every face in the shop.

Neither Stripe nor PayPal works for me. What can I do?

What is the difference between Gen 1, Gen 2 and Gen 3?

The generation shows how current a face is. Gen 2 and Gen 3 support more watches, more data fields and the AMOLED always-on mode, and Gen 3 is the newest. Both are free to install, a one-time Pro Code unlocks the extended Pro features. Gen 1 faces are the originals. They run with all features for 48 hours, after that the Pro Code unlocks them for good.

How do I install a watch face on my Garmin?

Open the Connect IQ app on your phone, find the face (or use the store link on its page here), tap Install and sync your watch. The new face is usually active right after the sync. If not, on many models you press and hold the current watch face and pick the new one. Step by step

Does a watch face drain the battery?

Accepted Answer

Only a little. The faces are built to save power, and the Power Saver Mode shows a reduced face during your sleep time. On AMOLED watches the always-on display uses the most energy: if battery life matters most, switch it off in the display settings of your watch.

How do I change the time format to 12/24 h?

In your device settings, on the watch under System, Time, or in Garmin Connect Device Settings. Sync the watch afterwards.

Which Garmin watches are supported?

Each face lists its compatible devices on its Connect IQ Store page. The easiest check: open the face in the Connect IQ app. If your watch is supported, you can install it and try it.

Why does the watch face show no weather?

Accepted Answer

This applies to faces with weather data. The face uses Garmin Weather, which comes from your phone: Check that your watch supports Garmin Weather and that the weather widget on the watch shows data. The Garmin Connect app on your phone needs location access and a connection to the watch. Location services must be on, and the phone needs mobile data or Wi-Fi. If the widget shows “Waiting for data” or dashes, sync the watch in Garmin Connect and wait a few minutes.

I have a question about the Garmin colors.

MIP displays show 64 colors, AMOLED displays far more, so the same color can look different on two watches. All colors with their codes are on the Colors page .

The watch face will not install. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

Bluetooth must be on and the watch must show as Connected in the Connect IQ app. Check the free space on the watch: in the Connect IQ app under My Device. Remove apps or faces you no longer use if it is full. Still stuck? Restart phone and watch, then try again.

My Gen 1 face shows a trial message.

Accepted Answer

The 48-hour trial has ended. The message only covers this one face, all other faces on your watch keep working as usual. Enter a Pro Code to unlock the face for good. How to enter the Pro Code

Sunrise and sunset are missing.

Accepted Answer

The watch needs to know where you are. Start an outdoor activity with GPS once, wait until the position is found, then return to the watch face.

A data field stays empty.

Accepted Answer

Your watch does not deliver this value, or not yet. Body Battery, stress, VO2 max and time to recovery, for example, only exist on newer models, and some values need a sensor that is switched on. Check whether the matching Garmin widget shows the value, or choose another one. All data fields
